Air Museum will host beer tasting and live music | Food and drink

WINDSOR LOCKS – The New England Air Museum is teaming up with Broad Brook Brewing Company to bring you “Flight Night” today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The public is invited to explore the museum’s collection of world-class aircraft, while tasting local craft beer and enjoying light snacks and live music.

The ticket price includes entrance to the museum after opening hours, beer tasting, full-size beer, and appetizers.

The New England Air Museum is located at 36 Perimeter Road.

• COVENTRY – Second Congregational Church, 1746 Boston Turnpike, will host a Turkey Drive / Takeout Dinner on Saturday starting at 5:00 p.m.

The menu includes turkey breast, dressing, cranberry sauce, potatoes, gravy, carrots and dessert.

The cost is $ 13 for adults, $ 6 for children.

Place your orders at 860-742-1616 and indicate the pickup time at 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.

Get off the church parking lot at the Community House across from Highland Park.

• Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish Haitian Ministry, St. Mary’s Church Hall, 1600 Main Street, will host a pasta supper and basket raffle on Saturday at 5 pm.

The cost is $ 10 for adults and $ 5 for children 4 and over.

Take-out meals will be available. All proceeds will be donated to the church school in Les Palmes, Haiti.

Breakfast at East Hartford Grange

EAST HARTFORD – Hillstown Grange will host a Pancake Breakfast Saturday 8:30 am-11am

Pancakes will be served with sausage, coffee, tea and juice at a cost of $ 5 for adults, $ 3 for children under 14.

This month’s special pancake is the “Caramel Apple”, which will be served with regular pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes.

Hillstown Grange has been located at 617 Hills Street in the Hillstown corner of East Hartford, Glastonbury and Manchester since 1888. The Grange is one of the oldest agricultural and community service groups in the United States.

Masks will be mandatory inside when you are not eating and we will do everything possible for a safe and fun breakfast.

HEBRON – Saint-Pierre Episcopal Church will hold its next monthly community dinner on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The menu will include a hot German potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage, bratwurst sausage, cucumber salad, rye bread and an assortment of desserts. The cost is $ 14.

This is a take-out only dinner, no pre-order or reservation – first come, first served.

The waiters will come to your car, take your order and choice of dessert, and return to your car to place them in the backseat or trunk. The servers will be hidden.

A portion of every meal sold this month will go to Camp Care, Inc.

The church is at 30 Church Street.

WINDSOR LOCKS – American Legion Post 36 will host a Fall Back Roast Pork Dinner on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 1 South Main St.

COVENTRY – St. Jude’s Council, 4313 Knights of Columbus, is hosting a Polish Family Dinner on Saturday October 23 at St. Mary’s Church Hall, 1600 Main Street.

The menu includes potato and cheese pierogis, kielbasa and sauerkraut, stuffed cabbage, red potatoes, rye bread and butter, dessert and coffee, tea or lemonade . The cost is $ 15 per person.

Tickets will be sold at the door.

EAST HARTFORD – Support Our Soldiers-Connecticut will sponsor a “Thank a Veteran” Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday, November 7, following the Thanksgiving fundraising and group packing event.

Dinner will start around 2 p.m. Support Our Soldiers will provide the main courses and ask the volunteers to bring a salad or dessert to share.

Dinner is free and open to everyone. Donations will be accepted and appreciated.

Veterans, families and anyone who wants to say “thank you” to Veterans in attendance are encouraged to come to the dinner.

Help with set-up, service and cleaning is required.

This event will take place at Hillstown Grange Hall, 617 Hills St.
