Central Connecticut Completes Fall 2021 Football Schedule

The Central Connecticut Blue Devils have finalized their football schedule for fall 2021 with the addition of a game against the Southern Connecticut Owls.

Central Connecticut will host Southern Connecticut at Arute Field in New Britain, Connecticut on Friday, September 3, 2021, which will be their first meeting since the 2011 season. Southern Connecticut is competing in the Northeast 10 Conference in Division II.

Other non-conference opponents for the Blue Devils include Southeast Louisiana (Sept. 18) and Columbia (Oct. 9) at home and Miami FL (Sept. 25) on the road.

The Northeast Conference (NEC) action for Central Connecticut begins on September 11 on the road against Wagner. The Blue Devils will also travel to play Sacred Heart (October 16), Merrimack (October 30) and Duquesne (November 13).

NEC opponents who are expected to visit Arute Field this fall include LIU (October 23), Bryant (November 6) and Saint Francis U. (November 20).

Central Connecticut opted out of playing during the NEC spring 2021 football season. The Blue Devils won their sixth Northeastern Conference title in 2019 after posting an 11-2 overall record, which was their best in history.
