Connecticut tourism industry to gather in Hartford

The Connecticut Tourism Board is holding its 2016 Governors’ Tourism Conference on April 27 in Hartford, providing a forum for leaders of attractions, hotels, restaurants and cultural organizations to share ideas on creating ‘a boost before the summer tourist season.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 27 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford and costs $ 99 to attend. The agenda includes rewards; an exhibitor’s window; a dozen workshops covering topics such as digital marketing, social media and tourism trends; and speeches by Governor Dannel P. Malloy and CEO of Turkel Brands, who has managed tourism marketing campaigns in Miami, Puerto Rico and other destinations.
