Danbury Museum gears up for Hat City Ball

DANBURY – The Danbury Museum & Historical Society is preparing for its next Hat City Ball.

The annual event will take place on February 11 at the Amber Room Colonnade on Stacey Road to celebrate ‘all that is Danbury’, while raising funds for the City Museum and Historical Society with headquarters at 43, Main Street, according to Friends of the Danbury Museum.

After hosting a virtual ball last year due to COVID-19, Danbury Museum & Historical Society director Brigid Guertin has said she looks forward to the next in-person event.

“We are back in person for a lovely evening supporting the museum and our community of Danbury,” she said, noting that the Hat City Ball 2020 – “one of the last major public gatherings in town” before the pandemic – had a great turnout.


Tickets for the Hat City Ball 2022 cost $ 150 each and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/2022HatCityBallTickets. Event sponsorships ranging from $ 500 to $ 25,000 are also available for purchase.

Those who purchase tickets will have the option of having a traditional Hat City Ball experience with food, music and camaraderie at the Amber Hall, or opting for a take-out package with the same dining options. , which can be picked up by February 10. 11 event.
