Mattatuck Museum Celebrates New Art Exhibits September 18

WATERBURY – The Mattatuck Museum welcomes the public on September 18 for a celebration of its new art exhibits, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The celebration will include remarks from artists, lenders and Mattatuck Museum Director Bob Burns at 1 p.m.

Restless Mountain Bluegrass, a Connecticut-based acoustic bluegrass band, will perform on the rooftop terrace at 2 p.m. for an additional fee.

Families are invited to participate in exploration activities in the studio. During the celebration, Abigail Sites, Head of Education Programs, will preview the new lineup of fall program offerings.

The Art of Yum Café will be open with delicious meals, snacks, coffees and sweets available for purchase.

Admission to the Celebration of Fall Exhibits is free for Museum members and children under 5, and $5 for the public. The Restless Mountain Bluegrass Band performance will cost $5 for members and $10 for guests. Pre-register at or call 203-753-0381 x130.
